Bilingual/bicultural books to

foster a love of reading in

children of all communities.

About Us

David Flores,

Author & Publisher

At Brownie Books, we're on a mission to enrich children's lives with bilingual and bicultural literature. Our company was founded by David and Kaylyn, educators and parents who identified the need for more diverse books that genuinely represent different languages and cultures. Brownie Books, named after David's beloved coaching nickname "Coach Brownie," is all about building bridges through language and culture. Born from a love for both Texas and El Salvador, our goal is to share the sweetness of diverse cultures with readers everywhere. We offer a unique collection of books that foster cultural appreciation and language learning, bridging the gap for children of all backgrounds.

Today, Brownie Books has become a favorite destination for parents, educators, and children seeking bilingual and bicultural books that reflect the world's rich diversity. Our books encourage children to embrace differences, learn new languages, and connect with other cultures. We're excited to join you on this journey of exploration and discovery, one book at a time.

Why Choose Us?

Brownie Books has a great selection of genuinely bilingual and bicultural books. Our goal is to showcase authors who will foster a love of reading by creating relatable stories for children in the Latino community and other families who are interested in learning the language and culture of Latin America. Brownie Books now offers publishing grant, consulting, and assistance for elementary schools to foster a love of writing. The winners of our Publishing Contest will become published authors and be awarded their own copyright certificate!

"Our students loved having a real author, with fun props visit our elementary. Mr. Flores was funny, patient, and allowed the students to be a part of the program. We are very happy with the decision to invite Mr. . Flores, and we look forward to him coming back with new books and characters."

David Antonio Flores, you were by far one of the best authors I have ever seen visit a school and I have been teaching for 22 years. Thank you very much!!!!

I highly recommend adding Brownie Books to your school and classroom libraries! Brownie Books content is culturally spot on with highly interesting Bilingual story lines. I immediately bought a copy of David Flores’ entire selection of books for my grandchildren! “Mis Chanclas and my Chones” and “Tita la Gallinita” became instant Favs! They are high quality books with amazing illustrations!
